    Hey guys

I was just wondering....... have any of you guys ever had this feeling..... kind of like you don't want to play.....like your a bit tired?

I don't mean tired of the game.... perhaps the way your job is?

I was wondering....... what would you do ? Play another job? Do something else besides leveling and helping people out? Start a craft? Maybe farm some? Just what did you do?

Thanks guys. It means a lot

I'm at that stage. I normally just hang out with my LS and do stupid things like camping Behemoth with level 10 characters. :p

Take like 2 weeks off and don't play it. If you can stay away from your PC or PS2 also. Go out to the park. Go get wasted with your friends. Spend sometime with your significant other. After that week or so you will be dreaming about a piece of equipment or joining mass experience parties.

me and some of my LS made a new leveling team out of new jobs and/or characters. helped break up the grind of redmage (hard job).

that was when i was lvl 54, i leveled my new elf war to 30 and we got our team to 15 (i'm drk).

after all that, i was anxious to play rdm again, got 5 levels in a week or so.

Well, you can try not playing, like many suggest when others are out of it. But for me, if I want to still play, I just spend time and do quests around towns.
          34 WAR, 11 RNG, 18 MNK, 13 WHM, 31 SAM, 10 NIN, 63 DRG, 15 PLD, 11 THF, 25 RDM

          Rank 6
Genkai 1 hated and completed ^_^
Genkai 2 feared and completed ^_^
Genkai 3 annoyed but completed ^_^
Genkai 4 still on to-do list

AF1 series completed! Shouts go out to Kuno, MysticAery, Animasoul and everyone else that's helped! Thank you all! ^^

I felt that just recently. I leveled my BLM t o 19 for Warp and Waterga and WHM to 20 for Sneak. Also leveled my Ninja to 23 to keep my subjob leveled. I feel so much better about leveling my thief.

I haven't had complete burnout with FFXI. I did with EQ a few times. Usually after a long stretch of just leveling. In FFXI I feel there is more to do, but I'm sure I'll reach a point of complete burnout too.

Yeah, I know exactly what your talking about. I got to the point where I didn't know why I was playing at all, took a 2 week break, and then realized I wanted to play again. Nowadays if I ever get that feeling I take a day or two off and do the massive amounts of work I let build up from college, heh. Oh well, whatever works right?

I'm so sick of exping, or trying to keep up with my static PT that I don't play anymore, just occasionaly craft. Maybe I'll go back someday and invest more time, but it's been 2 weeks and I still don't feel like it. Well, work and other stuff to do also...

Actually I set up a goal... if I can get a hauburgeon from just crafting money, then I'll play again. Might take a few years at the rate I'm going...

Yes, the taking a break from the object that you are getting burned from is one of the most common things anyone does. Take a break from work, take a break from school, take a break from family, other, etc... The taking a break from though is kind of a risky one, you may come to the resolution that you never did like what you are taking a break from. Then some time down the road you get more info of it's current status and you suddenly become obsessed in wanting it again, which at that point you'd be just kicking yourself saying why'd I ever do that.

The best thing is to identify what it is that is burning you out. In this case it sounds almost like you know what it is that's burning you out. Once you've identified that then find the resolving reason to it, identifying the problem and creating the resolution is the best thing for every situation. In this mannor you arn't running from the problem but facing it head on, and when you're facing it head on this way your using your logic to resolve it. Every time something is solved with your logic you usually will have a greater alignment to what you decide.

It's much better because when it's resolved instead of just abandoned you may notice you're mind will feel more at ease and have a better clarity.

Sorry if it sounds wierd or something extreeme for what people will say "is just a game", but the thing is you picked to participate in this game so there was a reason why you did. Since there is a reason it can effect you just as much as something more serious and so it should be handle with the same respect.

When you start needing 20k xp a level you can get a bit burnt out, pushing really hard to get those 1-2+ levels you got an evening back in the earlier levels.
Dont look at the monster you are killing and tell yourself "gee only 100 robber crabs have to die for me to level now... lol"

I bounce between gilfarming,xp,craft, skillup pt,quests, help with af's and powerleveling friends with my whm job to keep things different.
Doing only one of those activities too long wears me out

You my friend sound like a philospoher ^^ Thanks for hte great advice.

Thanks for the advice friends. I appreciate it tons. I'm going to take a break from my RDM soon. All I want is my hat and then I'll move on to something new and stuff. In between that I'll just get some more fame in Bastok and Windurst for the AVatars (if I ever do it) and do a bit more AF with the LS.

See you guys in game ^^

I'm glad to say that all through 70+ levels of paladin I have never gotten bored of the job. I must be a freak or something, but I love exping and use it to relax after a hard day in class. I love the job as well, it's incredibly busy and fun even after all these levels. I'm even kind of glad they made it 40k+ exp to gain one level, so I don't reach the cap that soon. :p

I'm burnt outm but for a different reason.

I'm sick of having horrible parties at low levels. I am just frustrated with the level of noobish stupidity that seems to plag every single party I'm in. It's gotten to the point where I am averaging less with a group per hour than leveling by myself at level 16. I mean thats ridiculous. It's pissing me off to the extreme where I am thinking about quitting. When do the retards stop partying and realize they're failures? Around level 30 ish? Cause it's not looking too good the way it seems now after at least 3 levels of partying.

Sad to say, but unless I PT with subjob equiped people of rank 5+, the noobness factor/bad equips remains high all the way to lvl 50, though it certainly cuts down a bit at lvl 30-40. Jpn as usual, seem more willing to emphasize strategy than just make PT and fight the second it's 6 members. Some are just amazingly weathy and have equips that make them worth almost 2 lesser people.

I considered quitting at the early game, but... some good friends picked me up and helped me along.
