I take it you have never played: Tomb Raider, Metroid, Perfect Dark, Resident Evil, Suikoden(I know 3 had a female lead), FFX-2, Parasite Eve, or any of other hundered games that have female leads.

This is a social game, but not for realistic romance. When males assume that the female avatar is controlled by a female and start trying to flirt with them and get a "STFU I'm a guy.", or are later told by a friend that the female character is actually male; that is the only time people feel awkward and its not the fault of a male playing a female character.

I have a female alternate that I level from time to time simply because I'm sick of staring at a guy for 87 days 16 hours -_-

If I didn't come so far with this character, I'd definately start over with a female character as my main account.

I just think female characters look better than guys, and if I'm staring at something's ass for hours each day, why would I want it to be a guy?

The thing is...
In these games who cares how you play? Ur the only one playing it.

In FF the stuff u say and the way u act does impact how others look at u. In real life, I know u met some girls who act a little boy-ish, but have u met guys who acts girl-ish? I'm just saying that if I make a mithra character right now, I wouldn`t be putting "meow" at the end of my sentences. BTW, I do not flirt on-line, I already have a GF.

I like to incorperate both of these types of characters into my Role Playing. If I'm having fun and a good time I'll play the part of the comic relief, if I'm in a more serious mood I can RP the more reserved warrior type.

If someone asks me my gender in real life, I simply reply that I'm a female (to stay true to RP purpouses) and I'm not interested in getting to know them personally and that I am here to play a game, not to look for new friends.

I do not use my character to take advantage of people as that is basically just whoring yourself, and it doesn't fit in with my RP, although I do accept gifts from friends.

People who are scared of others that play opposite gender characters really need to get over it, the only people you have to be concerened about are those that would try to use their online persona into seducing others to give them stuff which I don't think anybody approves of.

So in closing, get over the fact that people do play opposite gender characters, that doesn't mean that they are homosexual, and if they are, they probably aren't looking for love in an online game.

i completly accept all of that -EXCEPT- do you tell your friends you are a male? i would not take kindly to a "friend" that lied to me. generally, i treat men and women the same, it is an online game, but it's still deceipt to someone that trusts you.

I am a guy and I play a Mithra.
I am also play a Mithra BLM, I do this for 3 reasons:
A: I can't being a Taru and seeing everything from Knee level
B: Mithra(In my opinion)have the 2nd best skills for being a BLM
C: Mithra have quite a bit more HP than Taru which is nice as I have a bad tendancy to die alot

I acctually tell everyone that I am just a disguised male mithra, so everyone knows that I am a guy. (Escaped from the breeding grounds or wherever the heck they keep the males )
I wish SE would put in male mithra, but I doubt it

I don't really if someone dressses a galka up in an Opaline Dress and RPes a girl (although I would take screenshots to laugh at later), this is simply a game and an escape from reality. :p

Anyways I'm a male who plays a male. I just don't feel right playing as a female, its just not me. Only time I play a female is if my sis don't have time to get on the game and ask me to play her char. Her char is a Mirtha; most of the time I try not to speak to anyone and do her bidings.

Most ppl who play female that are males irl abuse the female aura. They act stupid and try to get things from male chars. Golddiggers if u want to called them that expect males. I'm not saying all males that play females do this but most do. Don't fall for this crap, I know I don't. I can pretty much tell who is male and female.
