This is killing me.

Hey, this choice has been killing me for 6 Days.i cannot choose what Race i want Elvaan or Mithra everytime i think im going one way, i read another post and it changes my mind completely.i have down countless hours of Research on random sites www.ffxionline.com, ffvault.ign.com, and also ive watched pings video 3 over 10 times(Awesome ass video ping )

the second thing that is bugging me extremely bad is the JOB

at first iw as Dark Knight/War all the way, then it went to iw anted to be a monk, then i wanted ranger, but to expensive, dragoon but i hear they suck till later, i dont want a theif or ninja, i just dont know what would be fun for me i thought rdm then get sam/war or somthing like that i dont know what woudl be fun i want to have fun, but i dont want to be trying out different races and jobs because i just wanna focus on one job/subjob (and maybe +1 more subjob)


if you were wondering how i expeierince the game, i dont own a copy but my friends comp broke and he isntalled it here, i played it alot but now his comp and fixed and i cant play anymore so im getting it.

which do you think looks the best? Elvaan or Mithra? Do you want a higher Str or Dex?

Drk/War is a very good combo if this combo is what you were set on from the beginning I say stick with it.

That aside, do you want to deal damage? Be a support character. Or be a healer etc?

i dont like healing that much i dont know what i like more strengh or dex i like the way elvaan and mithra look and i heard alot of bad crap about dark and missing and all 0.0 i dont wanna miss alot i know it would piss me off like crazy, and are +strengh items exepsnive if i choose mith i would get +str items are they more expensive then dex or same

ok.. from what you have said...

I would suggest trying a Mithra Thief sub Warrior and just boost your dex as much as you can.

You won't miss that much, and you will do very good damage.

Here is a idea how about I come over to your house and play the game for you. That way you wont have to make any decisions. My god read the information that's already posted and then try it out if you dont like what your doing switch. That simple. But whatever you do I hope you dont play on my server. I would hate to ever have someone in my party as indecisive as you.

question is.. can you look at the Mithra or the Elvaan for a long time and not get sick of it? I.E. i can't look at a Galka all day, but i can look at my Elvaan female all day.

That's not true :sweat: the only way really by finding out what you like is trying them out yourself. Try the races and see which you like. People telling what to pick means they are picking what they want you to be, just be your self. :sweat:

I think that once you start playing the game, you'll find aspects about different jobs that you will like. I started thief, but have recently built up BLM, WHM, and Bard, and I love playing Bard. Don't be suprised if, after playing, you see another job you want to play.

Race really isn't important job wise, any race can do the job, just some a bit better than others. I'm a Mithra and started thief/warrior, which are great thiefs, but now I'm playing bard/whm, which are not the best choice statwise but still a blast to play.

I can't help you on the name or which race to pick, especially if you are just going for looks on your character, though I do prefer Mithra to Elvans. Them Elvans are just too damn tall.

Dragoon dont suck, Dark is a fun job, keep the name, but you have to enjoy your character. Do you want to be a tall lanky Elvaan, or a short, weaker but more accurate Mithra
