Just a crazy idea here but...what if they were to introduce sub-sub jobs? that are half of your sub job?

Yeah, it'd be pretty dumb. Think about it. Why would you have a Paladin/Warrior/Monk for example. Can you imagine how puny of a HP gain they would get? But, this isn't the main case in the arguement. Think about all the new skills that would open up. Monk would give you extra skills. To me, I think it would add TOO much diversity if that's possible. Think of a RDM/BLM/WHM. Can you imagine how many spells they'd get? Too many. They'd have all the enfeebling skills, high HP, plus they would end up having all the skills from the other mage spells, a LOT of MP, it'd just be crazy. You wouldn't end up getting THAT many WHM spells out of that combo anyways. Say your RDM is level 70, that's LV35 BLM, and LV17WHM. How many extra spells would you honestly get out of the 17WHM when you already had RDM to 70? Not many.
To me, it'd be stupid and pointless. Maybe I should have just said that and nothing else.There must be light for the darkness to exist. Without the light, there is nothing. The light is ultimate!!!Comment

then I can be a Rdm/Blm and enjoy having all the cool WS with my third /war sub. How's that sound?
I got all the useful rdm spells such as refresh, got warp to go back to my party and got decent melee boost to do damage.
