Rangers all the way =)

Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of my Ranger Regiment.

Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move farther, faster and fight harder than any other soldier.

Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be. One-hundred-percent and then some.

Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.

Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.

Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.

Something's got to be skewed here, because almost every bloody caster I have met so far, whether black mage or white, is planning on being a Summoner.

Boy am I glad they made the summons really hard to get, hopefully most of 'em will get discouraged and quit summoner, cause it looks like we're gonna have a HUGE GLUT of summoners, and be *really, really* lacking in White and Black Mages if they don't.

I wish most whms would focus on WHM, and the remainder would focus on BRD (60% -> 40% WHM -> BRD main would be awesome)

thing is, people come up with really stupid combinations in the US just because they think they are brilliant for it.

Such as Warrior/Whitemage. GUH. I've seen over a dozen... and it makes my blood boil.

Have'nt really thought about it...But at the start i plan to play as Black Mage until i can get the Dragoon Job.
I was originally planning on starting out as a Red Mage but i've had second thoughts...I'd rather just like to be able to deal damage and not be asked to cure...Healing is not my thing and i'd probably a pretty crappy White Mage too.:sweat:

Going SAM/WAR at the moment. So far, very fun, but I haven't partied yet, and I'm expecting the worst when I head to Valkurm (sitting around looking for parties, like back in the WAR days).

I'm desperately hoping SAM will be patched by the time I approach LVL60. Otherwise, I may change main job to something else and sub SAM.

Prior to this, I went NIN as my first advanced job. Decided to stop after hearing NINs were mainly blinktanks. I'm not too fond of playing a tank again.

Next, went RNG and took it up to LVL10. Admittedly, RNGs are loads of fun. Initially, I thought I would be able to craft ammo. Once I tried however, I realized just how much of a pain it is to gather raw materials (not relying on AH), let alone actually raising the appropriate crafting skills.

After this, I chose to pick between SAM, BRD, or RDM - the latter to mainly for my desire to get into parties easily. I ended up choosing SAM, since it probably goes better using WAR as a subjob, and the thought of multiple weapon skills sounds fun.
