What happens to l60 redmage, when he becomes a Dragoon?

If I am a lvl 60 redmage and sub lvl 30 warrior, what happens to my red mage level if i main as a dragoon, and sub as a Redmage. Does it go down to level 30. Whats going on here?

Yes, it drops down while it is a subjob. I.e., if you are a lvl 2 dragoon, you will be a level 1 redmage, until you make red mage your main job again.

You will always have 60 lvls of RDM
but if you use it as a subjob it will any be half the lvl your main job is at

ex:
lvl 6 WAR / 3 RDM
lvl 14 WAR / 7 RDM
lvl 120 WAR / 60 RDM
lvl 140 WAR / 60 RDM (you only have 60 lvls of RDM so it cant go any higher)
