Is it easier to ge +HP gear or +MP gear?

Just manage to pick up the game and I'm trying to decide what race to be. Right now I'm thinking I would like to be a summoner ultimately but I'm probably going to be a melee character until lvl 60 or so and get all the summons.

Just wondering which would be easier.

+HP and +MP gear are both in abundance. You can get gear that increases both stats and you can also get gear that converts HP to MP or vice versa.

If you are a melee, there'll be more HP-biased stuff for you, and mages get more MP-biased equipment. It's all done quite logically.

If you are wanting to be a summoner, your best bet would be to level WHM. You'll get parties a lot easier than a melee, and you'll also have a useful subjob when you start to level your summons. If you go with melee, you'll have to level something else as a support for summoner, because noone's going to pick a summoner/melee combination

Does a piece of eqiuipment that converts 25mp to 25hp do anything if I have 0mp total?

Basically, are those convert mp to hp earrings good for a warrior?

Some items plus both. those are nice for mages like the enhance mante. Poor defense between.

several +HP items aren't too common like the +15HP and +25HP necklace. those are rare. The physical peirce transferring 25MP to HP won't work if you have no MP. and the +HP -MP ring only give you +4 +5 the most.

in conrtase to +MP, everyone has HP so transferring isn't a problem. Also there's many earings later on with plus over 5 MP and rings that +20MP -20HP for only 10K at level 40 ; /
