  • What do you keep from previous jobs?

So, you keep the effects of the Job Qualities, but lose the special (I think most are 2 hour) abilities? And do you keep a bit of the stats from your previous job? Like, if you got a level 60 Warrior and then switched to be a level 1 Black Mage, would you have higher stats like HP than newbie Black Mages because you were a Warrior previously? Or do your stats always start at the very basic unless you have a support job chosen?

    ^^ that one.

I don't understand the first part of your questions so I'll leave that to someone who does.

when u switch your job, u keep nothing from your previous job, no skills or anything, including passive, active abilities, and sp.

but once u switch back to it, u regain your skills back.

What about things like battle and magic skills (not like the active skills, but like when you train sword and healing magic)? Those are trained seperately from your class. Take RDM. If you fight with him mostly, your one hand sword skills shoot up. Then you switch to WAR, you still have your old one had sword skill (although capped by the WAR level). If you mostly heal, then switch to WHM, you have a distinct advantage over other starting WHM, especially if you took the time to do some staff training (which I would probably never do as a RDM, but still).

So, you don't even keep the job qualities? Like, say I had a character who was a level 50 White Mage and a level 50 Black Mage (not as main/support... Just had those levels). If I made the character a Summoner with White Mage as the Suppot Job, I would no longer have the magic affecting job qualities of the Black Mage?
