Heights for races

A small Taru will only reach slightly past the boot of a Medium Galka. Too funny
Don't worry too much about heights now, you'll have plenty of time to decide when you're creating your character.

Large Elvaans and Galkas are freakin' HUGE compared to everyone else.

I'm a small size Elvaan, and I'm just a little bit (maybe.... um.... just under one foot?) taller than a large size Hume. I'm very comfortable with the size, but still find myself towering over the average Mithra, and often can't find Tarus. No, seriously. I've only ever PT'd with one Taru, a BLM. He got hit hard at the outset of a battle by a Poison Funguar (nasty mo fos), and was hurting for HP. I was running all over the place in a panic looking for this little fart, and I must've run past him at least once (the cursor wouldn't select him, and I didn't know what direction to go in to find him, so I just ran around in circles). Freaked me right out, I tell ya... Those little punks are so easy to loose. And when in Fraggle Rock (aka Windurst), I noticed my head barely missed the cieling in most buildings. It was very claustrophobic. Otherwise, I'm really very comfortable with the height. It's high enough to look dignified, without looking... well... "long". That's really it: tall without being "long".

You can't tell at all during the animations at character creation, though. That makes it a bit more tricky.
