Help me out, I know some of these are farfetchd and what not, but give me some input, thanx ^^ You might notice that these are horrible beyond belief...which is probably true, but...im got bored and still am...so...feedback please! I dont plan on using these btw...unless I get bored on FFXI, lol ;P

    Race: Galka
    Main Class: Red Mage
    Sub Class: Thief
    Level: 65/32 Hp: 1249 Mp: 238 Str: 60 Dex: 60 Vit: 65 Agi: 52 Int: 59 Mnd: 58 Chr: 47
Note:Basically what I do is cast a enchantment on my sword, run around attacking monsters racking up normal damage and the enchanted spell dmg. Then when I can, I would dish out the 1 minute refresh Sneak Attack and 1 minute refresh Decieving Attack(of course this one would be from behind). That would rack up even more dmg with enchanted dmg. Then finish it off with a weapon skill if i have the TP charged...which of course wouldnt be all the time. Hehe, it is a rather 'interesting' combo...brute force race with dinky mage class...but Im just wondering if this would even work...like...be effective, har-har.

    Race: Elvaan
    Main Class: Bard
    Sub Class: Beastmaster
    Level: 65/32 Hp: 1134 Mp: 0 Str: 63 Dex: 55 Vit: 60 Agi: 40 Int: 49 Mnd: 63 Chr: 67
Note:What we have here is a Chr machine, go into battle by taming a monster and let him fight while you play songs regaining the monsters hp or damaging the other monster or whatever. Then i suppose everynow and then you could waltz in there and deal some dmg by thy sword. The high CHR will also lower the price of items from vendors in town and what not. Yet another interesting idea, wondering what you guys think.

    Race: Mithra
    Main Class: Thief
    Sub Class: Samurai
    Level: 65/32 Hp: 1049 Mp: 0 Str: 55 Dex: 82 Vit: 55 Agi: 70 Int: 60 Mnd: 42 Chr: 38
Note:The evading machine ^^ 70 Agi to help out evasion as well as a Active ability from the Samurai that lets me evade the next attack. If all else fails I could crank out the Perfect Evasion super ability to evade all melee attacks. Again, just wondering what you guys think about this one.

you might want to check out the specific job section in here... you'll find all opinion about all combinations

    but a little note

RDM/THF is not a PT friendly combination. red mage is there to mainly cast magic. you are Galka you already have less MP. you use /THF can only hurt you...

anything /THF is good for money/item hunt

BRD/BST is not so useful..... BRD is a supporter. not being to heal will greatly reduce you usefulness.
BRD doesn't have high MP using /whm but they got MP songs. which means they can regain MP all the time

THF/SAM... you charge TP faster but as THF you will not launch your WS as soon as you reach 100% TP.... so don't know if this will be useful

again check the specific job's section for more details

if you want more in-depth about how/if then sure... based on your own post...

        RDM/THF
You have to know how RDM plays in party, how we solo and how efficient the THF's sneak+decieve attack is when used as sub jobs

= sneak and decieve attack from sub thf =
simply.... only boost 10-25% damage.... if you hit for 30, you would critical for 35 or 40... it's a nice add however if you use sneak+decieve and launch your WS.

= RDM playing in level up party =
the time RDM can be the main attacker for party, is around level 1-25. after that the real fighters start to get better armors and weapons. so after 30 RDM will never get to be the main attacker at all. you can run in and attack of course but mainly just to train your skill.

        - why it's not useful? -
30RDM/15THF is when you can use sneak attack. But after 30 RDM main role is cast magic. you are Galka as i mentioned you don't have that much MP to spend already.
plus our stats are not tuned towards attacking aspect....
think about normal attack doing 20 damage and miss 75% of the time. (against very strong enemies that is...) with sneak and decieve attack you might do 25.
we have lower chance to hit, so hard to charge TP, you will almost never get to use WS that often....

= solo = (include PT that's not meant to be levelling up PT here too.)
Solo is an excellent time to use /THF. yes what you mentioned in your post will work just fine here. not only you get some nice THF ability to play with, you also get more gils and items dropping.

        BRD/BST
        - first off, keep in mind that your sub job is half level with your BRD. so if you're 40BRD your sub BST will be 20BST. and you will only be bale to tame monsters lower than level 20. which will not even survive a single hit fighting level 40 monsters.
        - second, you songs won't affect pets. sorry. the only way to heal pet is by using pet food or pet medicine through BST's abilities.

        THF/SAM
i'll need to explain this one in different situation... like what i did with RDM

= sneak and deceive as main THF =
unlike sub THF, the real THF using sneak and decieve attack means 4-5times more powerful hit. if you normally hit for 20 you can dish out 300 damage from sneak and decieve together
        + normal attack.
the fun part is, decieve attack ability transfer the hate to the person you use as "dummy" so after the attack the enemy normally will turn to that person.

= how we play THF in a levelling up PT =
as mentioned above, THF's main weapon is sneak and deceive attack. always use the 2 together for maximum damage.

when fighting enemies, THF normally will use sneak+decieve before starting the fight, let the weak tank do the first taunt, THF go behind the strong tank and hit boom! and the enemy will normally turn to the strong tank.
and when our TP is ready, we MUST wait until sneak and decieve are both ready to use again, notify other members that we're ready to launch WS, and when it's time to launch, use sneak+decieve and then WS. the sneak + deceive will both apply to our WS resalting in a huge amount of damage.

and of course the enemy turns to the other person, not the THF...

is /samurai useful here? - yes in the TP aspect.... you will get some extra TP making your WS more powerful
but in evading aspect... no.... you hardly gonna be attack. plus that ability only last a minute and gone and you have to use again.
a better idea to increase evasion would be /nin..... ninjutsu mirror image will guarantee you atleast 4 time 100% evasoin....

        = solo play =
once again /SAM can only give bonus here. so feel fry to use /SAM if it gives you the bonus you like for what you're doing.
