Bard Quest Help =/

Well last night MithraMage was nice enough to go on the quest with me even tho MM had already done it. Anyways we get down to Mhaura and talk to Pikini-Mikini (spelling?) and he no longer sells the piece of paper needed. I instead buy an axe he sells which was the same price. We decide to go to the Song Rune and i click on it - get a cut scene, great! Didn't even use the axe i had got. So we go back to Jeuno - talk to everyone at the taveren again and head down to Valk. I walk up to this Song Rune and nuhtin just a quick one line sentence but no cut scene. I noticed near the Song Rune there was a "???" point next to a wall - i tried to trade the axe to it but nuthin. If anyone knows what to do after the first cut scene i receive i'd greatly appreciate the help. Just want to earn Bard real quick before my exp comes and i get samurai =/

hmm...... i did mine before that "axe" thing is in.... what i did was

- bought a paper. traded it to song rune in buburimu
- the rune gave me another piece of item.
- traded that item to the man in the bar in jeuno, he gave me another paper.
- i traded that last paper to the rune in VK.

hmm yeah - see i was able to get the first cut scene without trading a thing to the stone but i feel like i should have to get another item to give to the man in the bar - *sigh * lol maybe there will be an update on the quest or somthing later - thanks for the help tho.

IIRC, you have to trade the song you got from the runes in Bubumiru to the NPC in the Merry Minstrel (Mertaire). Then you can ride to Valk, get the second cutscene, the job and the reward.

Hmm - i actually didn't receive anything from the first stone - just witnessed the cutscene with the man in the white hood. when i clicked on the stone again i saw a message and green text for some sort of item but didn't get anything in my inventory.

Actually, the correct sequence is this:
- talk to everybody at Bard's Bar.
- Investigate rune at Buburimu, cut-scene.
- Trade paper to rune, obtain song score.
- Trade song score to Mertaire in Jeuno Bard's Bard, first stage completed, 2100g reward.
- Investigate rune at Valkrum, second stage completed, 3000g and Bard job.

lol here's the thing tho - there is not a paper to be found. . . unless i obtain it after i witness the cutscene and theennnn go get the paper. however that's not what Mithra Mage had me do and that's not what the guide said to do . . gyuhh i just want to finish earning this real quick =/

Are you sure the paper (—r”玆) is not sold at Mhuara anymore? If it really is the case then you may have to bid one at AH.

oh !? that would be wonderful if that's the case lol - may i ask the details like what does it look like? or what option in the AH can it be found? sorry for all the petty questions i'm just eager to finish this -.-

I can't confirm whether it's in AH or not (since almost everybody buy theirs at the Muhara shop :sweat: ). I do know for a fact that it's a Tanner Guild's product so you might want to check there. If not then it may be listed under misc. I don't know how it looks like but the item's name is —r”玆.

Just want to say thanks Bebetaro! - i was able to find the paper in the AH of jeuno - average price was 1,200 g for those curious. So i guess if you are wanting to do the Bard quest you now have to get the paper from the AH not Pikini-Mikini or whutever the lil guys name is. - thanks again =)

Wish I had looked this up before running to Mhuara. :mad:
