My party was NIN BLM WHM RDM MNK RNG.

We had no problem with him. We had the MNK use the Mistmelts because using items hurts your spell casting thus NIN would have a harder time. Nobody died, and my NIN held excellent hate, I was very impressed. Even with 3 Freezes it didn't ever hit me. Granted she used about 10 Hi Potions and lots of Ninja Tools (to keep hate). MNK ended up using 3 Mistmelts, though we went with several extra.

OP, Looking at your screenshot, you were VERY close. Your fault was letting it fly. DO NOT LET IT FLY.

Anyway, people that think you HAVE to have to have all BLM/SMNs, are sadly mistaken. Any regular exp party can do it if you are good and know what you are doing.

I think this is impossible. Everytime we zig he zags, everytime we start to do well he pulls some BS out of his ass and kills us.

Our first fight we got him down to 64% health but we made a vital error. Somebody casted a DoT on him and we couldn't sleep him, and ended up sleeping him too many times to make up for it. He must have Double Attack AND Triple Attack because sometimes he just doesn't stop attacking. I can't even cure myself so I have to use X-potions. He killed me because I couldn't land a heal and the Rdm couldn't heal fast enough. I had shallops tropicale.

You can't plan for this thing, but the general plan seems to be Nuke > Sleep > Nuke > Sleep > Nuke > Sleep etc. If you were to be reactionary about it you'd mistmelt when he's in the air, sleep when he uses 2hr, and sleep whenever else is necessary and just pick away at him.

Once again we have to throw as many black mages at it as we can just to win, which is becoming EXTREMELY annoying. Summoners are the new rangers it sems. SE needs to do something about this, CoP has been mostly about luck so far. If I wanted a game based around luck I'd play Halo 2.

Nin Tank, 2x mistmelts, NIN/DRK/SAM/RDM/BLM/WHM.

Straight up got on his legs (meleess on left leg, mages on right)
We fought him like normal, skillchained, magic bursted with regular magic. (repeat)
Used all 2 mistmelts.

Didnt sleep or freeze or anything special. *Did Stun some of his moves i believe*

He died. (lost like the drk knight at one point)
