Pickpocket quest

Ok, does anyone know how to finish the pickpocket quest? I've found the pickpocket, but she tells me to bring evidence. I go back to the guy that gave me the quest, and he tells me to bring back the glasses, and that they were his wife's. So what evidence do I need? Or am I just being really blind, and overlooking something really obvious?
