Thf AF2 question

Me and a couple folks attempted the thf AF2 quest last night. We got the first NM Climbpix to pop, but he dropped the Grapnel and not the rope-key listed in the quest guide I have. Is the item he dropped what we really need and if so does each person need one and what do we do with it. It was pretty frustrating not knowing if we missed something after talking to Nanaa Mihgo to accept the quest. If anyone can set us straight that would be great.

You must get n00d and trade the grapple to one of the towers, it's random.

Anderson just managed it, he got n00d and trade the item and got the cutscene...

the problem is, what it needs to get the frikkin climpbix to pop!

we tried every tower...we cept the one that through Garliege,,,thats a pain in the ass to get to...

anyway, more info is appreciated...
