Old player coming back

Hey all, if you play/ed on Ragnarok you might had known me as Dacove. I am returning to ffxi here shortly with my girlfriend. Been gone for about a year and wondering what it is gonna be like with lower lvl parties and how hard they are gonna be to form even with me syncing with her. Since she has to start completely fresh. Just trying to get some insight beforehand of what to expect. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time in advance and if you are on ragnarok, well hope to see ya soon.

You'll be duoing a lot. Not that you won't be able to get parties, but sometimes you might just not want to wait. Almost any combination of jobs can duo to 37 pretty easily. Personally I wouldn't even really try to find parties until lvl20 in Qufim or 25 in the Jungles.
