Return to Vana'diel Campaign?

Hi there everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew if SE is planning on doing the Return to Vana'diel campaign this April, like they have the last 2 years. I quit my rank 9 Nin back in the summer of 2005, and wanted to reactivate last fall and found out they deleted my Nin's Content ID. (They deleted the regular FFXI content ID for being unsubscribed for so long, but the Rise of Zilart Content ID was still there). So anyways, I am hoping that I will be able to reactivate him, even though they deleted his Content ID due to being cancelled for so long. Does anyone know if this is how it works? Thanks in advance

If the POL ID is gone, the character is gone for good.

Oops, I meant my Content ID for regular FFXI was deleted, not my Playonline ID. That is still active. My Content ID for Rise of Zilart is still active though for some reason. I had spoke to customer service last fall and he said that they could not at the time restore my character, he said it may be possible during the Return to Vana'diel campaign, but he was not positive.

Anyways, what I am trying to find out is if anyone knows first-hand if SE can during the Return to Vana'diel Campaign, restore Content ID's and characters that dissapeared from being cancelled for so long. I know the Return to Vana'diel Campaign is specifically made to get old players to come back to thier old accounts isnt it?

Also I am wondering if anyone has heard anything about if there is going to be a Return to Vana'diel Campaign this April like the last few years. I am really starting to crave playing FFXI again but dont want to start all over from scratch.

A friend and ex-FFXI player was flirting with coming back to FFXI during last year's Return to Vana'Diel; he stopped playing about a year or so prior to that and his info was all still there. Granted, that wasn't as long as you've been gone, and it seems kinda subjective as far as how long S-E saves character info...the only way you're going to know is to try during the next Return to Vana'Diel, unless S-E support can give that information to non-current players?

As far as there being another RtV campaign, I have no doubt one will be coming up soon, especially with all the changes they've made lately to NM's, signet, and exp bonuses. I know a few ex-FFXI players that are considering coming back for the first time in years, and I'm sure a lot of other peeps do as well, so for S-E to NOT have a RtV campaign soon would be a pretty dumb decision on their part.

That's not based on any hard facts, mind you, just what seems to me to be an obvious "next step" in their recent improvments. Time will tell, as always...
