Quitting WoW

I have playted FFXI since realease till about last novermer ( when WoW was released ) and have been playing WoW for the most part since then ( played FFXI for about 2 months beginning in april ) and now that my class has been nerfed all to hell and back in WoW i want to come back to FFXI, my only question being : Do a lot of people still play and lvl classes? I see that my favorite class ( Dragoon ) is fainally getting it's much-needed changes, and taht really excites me to play even more, but if there arent enough people playing, i dont wanna be running around a dead server and trying to get to 75. Any help would be appreaciated, and im especially looking from reponses from Asura players, because that is my old stomping grounds!

there are still players at all level range. But it veries a lot depending on the time and day you play too I think. Through out level 1 to 60 that I played my warrior last month, I had bad days where I can't get PT for 6-7 hours, and I had good days where I got invited within 5-10 minutes. Over all the good and bad days kinda average out :D

Ah, WoW is a joke. They've created a new race that's basically a Mountain Dew Livewire reskin of an old race. China made them change the pandarians.

There will always be people leveing new jobs. The sheer amount of jobs we have and the ability to change between them makes this a very replayable game. There are time hotspots when people level the most though, it usually begins sometime around 4pm EST.

The servers are constantly crashing down due to the ammount of people logging in, i don't youll have problems finding people...

You think wow really killed ffxi? lol you have something else coming your way if you rejoin vanadiel again.

You're right, I play WoW and my maximum queue waiting was.... 38 minutes!!!! I had time to watch Bleach and play mario kart DS

well... the "38 minute queue" I was in place 500 or so... When you join server it's like "connecting.... accepted... retrieving character list...." and your characters appear. When queueing: "connecting.... connected... server full: queue 400.... estimated time...."

wow design is just plain shitty (even with epic gear). I can't stare at my friends character for more than 10sec...

i finally tried out wow for the first time a few days ago, on a friend's account. the characters are SOOOO bland and the combat is SOOOOO simple. ffxi characters are SO much prettier to look at

i'm not quitting ffxi for wow. this game has its problems, yes, but it's still a better game.

noooo!!! now i'm gaining xp at the normal rate again!

ffxi takes an insane ammount of time to play, yes. SE...seems... to be trying to add some solo content, and open up the game to people who have less time a day to play.

and those rings rock! now if they had only a 2 hour recast instead of a 16 hour one...
