Steam or regular download?

I have kind of a slow computer, by slow I mean that it barely exceed the min system requirements for the game. Should I just download it from gamestop, or download it through steam? Which is better?

reg download, steam is always open in the background when you download it from steam and run it which takes up more resources.

Actually you don't need steam open at all to play the steam version. Plus you get all of the awesome goodies too like the Destrier Beret and the "I'm too lazy to use a Voidwatch NPC to teleport" Cape.

I have no idea if Gamestop lets you download multiple times like Steam does (never used Gamestop's download service, I have always ordered physical copies from them since they only have an online presence in the UK) so Steam may be a better option for if you do get a new computer and need to reinstall since you just have to click a couple of buttons and it's downloading again.
