    Playonline registering problems!

    I'm a returning player to FFXI, though I do not remember any of my account information, and it's been longer than 3 years since I've played.

    As a result, I downloaded the ultimate collection from steam and am making a new account.

    However! Everytime I try to register a new account, playonline will take a long time to GET to the registering page, while after taking an awfully long time, it gives me error code POL-1341 "An unexpected error has occured"

    What is going on? Should I call SE? Can anyone help me?

    Also, I am on 32 bit windows 7.

    I have a question. Are you trying to play at college? FFXI has issues with firewalls that some colleges use and I've heard many a college student complain about it, so thats why I ask.

      Nope! At my home on a wireless network. I called SE and they said to just plug my computer directly to the modem.

      I tried keeping on my wifi, but turning off the firewall to no avail.

      When I get home from work I'm going to try what SE said, I know my encryption on my wifi is the stricter version of WEP, though I can't remember the name...

        Apparently PlayOnline doesn't want me to update my credit card and my account has expired. Well, I got my Hermes' Boots, so whatever.
