Anybody had success in getting SLI to work on FFXI? How about issues with the NVIDIA GTX 295 card? I can play in SLI disabled mode but performance is not as good as my old NVIDIA 8800 GTS. I have tried all 8 or so drivers and they are all the same from a performance standpoint.

Re: Nvidia gtx 295
I wouldn't run SLI for FFXI unless you were running a WUGXA resolution (1920 x 1200) or higher. SLI doesn't really make a difference at lower resolutions. I'm running a 295 GTX and everything is running quite smoothly, on high (Bump Mapping, MipMaps, etc... all maxed/on). I get some frame spikes near areas with very highly condensed populations of characters; however, the game runs perfectly at cap rate (30 fps i think) when I am in normal areas.

Re: Nvidia gtx 295
The background resolution is not the issue. I was running at higher than my current 2048 x 2048 with my old 8800 GTS card. I have had to reduce down to 2048 x 2048 due to lag when I use my GTX 295 which is in dual GPU disabled mode. Whey I enable dual, it works, but the graphics are not correct. I get some light red and green banding and other anomolies. Portions of the menu are not readable. Perhaps you could post or send me your registry settings and other hardware information. I haven't found anyone else yet that has no problems with the GTX 295 in FFXI.
