POL-1161 error

Hello everyone, just recently installed FFXI on my new computer and every time I attempt to update POL I get the POL-1161 error message. I'm not using a router , don't have a firewall up and I am the administrator of the computer. Any help on troubleshooting this issue would be very appreciated. Thanks in advanced to all those who reply to my post.

Ok i am going to attach a dumb noob questions here. I have noticed that the PlayOnline site says some updates were done for March 2008. Do I have to manually update through the playonline menu? I play on Xbox360 and I guess I just assumed the game updates are automatic.

The game will automatically update the next time you attempt to play the game (after the update). So it is automatic, but you still have to initiate it.
