Problems with FFXI =/

Hi i dont know if this forum is for help too but well my english is very bad and i went to general =P

When i logg ingame i select character and all charge and appear downloading data and when it end of charge screen dont change from black... i can move the mouse but all is black and i dont know why =S

Ah, i have windows vista and the cd of Starter Package, i think it isnt the firewall but i dont know what is the bug... help =S

PD: My english is very bad, i know, sorry u-u

but my game dont shut down, i can hear the music but i can see only the mouse...

i will try but i thikthis isnt the problem =S

I have had this happen before, right after I select my city when making a new character. It takes a minute, sometimes a few, but the story will load and the game will continue, it is just loading.

Im talking when i select my created character...

I have the same problem with my PC with Windows XP...
