First some background on my setup:
- nVidia 6200
- Latest nVidia drivers 162.xxxx (not sure of version exactly, but latest as of this post's date)
- Sharp Aquos LCD TV (1366x768 res, duh!)
Anyway, the graphics card didn't detect 1366x768 as a compatible resolution so I had to create a custom resolution 1366x768 through the nViida Control Panel. That worked fine, now I can use the entire LCD screen when I view my windows desktop. However, I have 2 problems:
1) When I run the FFXI Config utility, it does not display 1366x768 as an option for overlay graphics
2) Because I didn't see 1366x768, I selected the next closest one, 1280x768. When I try to start playonline after doing so, it crashes. I tried other overlay graphics options (800x600, 1024x768) and they crash too.
I have to set my video card to display 1280x768 in order for playonline to not crash. But if I do that, i have two small black bars on the sides of my TV since the native res of the TV is 1366x768. Can someone help me get FFXI working in 1366x768? Thanks!
