So I just bought FFXI due to a friends bugging me to buy it XD
I installed it overnight and was so excited to start playing it this morning, patching done and all, but then I ran into an issue. A pol.exe issue.
After I sign in and run the game, I click, Create Character and the game crashes with an error stating that it needs to close and I click more info and I get that its a Pol.exe error. (Ffximain.dll error is another name for it i guess)

I updated my SiS 760 Driver to the latest one, and I just have no clue what to do >_<..

Hellllp

some more complete specs would help. for example your graphics card... unless you are using the integrated video on your sis760 (a chipset) which, i don't know if it even has support for hardware TnL (a requirement).

Re: pol.exe >_<

I tried defaulting the ffxi configuration my friend did that and he said it worked, I tried updating my driver, SiS760, I tried checking for file corruptions, my friend asked me if I had norton off when I installed it and I actually had it on, so maybe that had somethign to do with it, but doesnt norton usually inform you of a registery entry and stops the download?

Anyway, I uninstalled and its currently reinstalling, lets see if this works. ::Crosses fingers::
