Help! No sound effects?

Hiya, i downloaded and installed the update finally last night after it failing on me twice and now in-game i have no sound effects?? like attacking and lvling up made no sound! BG music played okay tho o.o

hm...obvious answer, did you check your config menu and see that SFX are turned on and up?

I have had it happen before, but I never really paid it too much mind. It never happened two sessions in a row, so I just attributed it to a minor bug, probably on my system, as I have an old, inexpensive sound card.
