I want to start using macros instead of the "long way" of doing commands. I have a partial list(the one that came with the game) but it doesn't help too much. I am more looking for a macro to summon and release for SMN, but any pointers will help--I have tried to set them up but only get /tells when i try to use them. Also, can someone post a link to a good site for a good macro set-up list. Im on a 360 if that will help.

So you're looking for SMN macro specificly? We have this sticky thread dedicated for SMN macro in the SMN forum.

GameFAQs has an faq for FFXI macros. It's kind of dated, but it does list many different macros and what they do.Nibblonian: "You are the last hope of the universe."
