  • POL 0011 Help!

    Hi there,

Whilst trying to register i keep getting the POL 0011 Error. I can't even get to the registration screen.

I connect to the viewer fine, it updates fine, but the second i start the registration procedure the 0011 Error appears and kicks me out.

I've opened all ports as demonstrated on the sticky on this forum. And also checked my firewall settings which gives the PlayOnline Viewer full internet access.

Someone said it was the registration server having technical problems, if so is anyone else having difficulties? Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

could be a result of that or the registration servers are just acting up. wait a bit and try again.

    Thanks Yyg!

I've been trying since last friday .

Is it usual for them to act up this long?

hrm, no. perhaps your connection is dropping out somewhere.

        try this:
enable logging in your firewall for POL
        try to register as usual
when it fails, look into your firewall log to see the last IP address POL tried to access
then open and command prompt and try a tracert to that IP address
see if you get a nice connection to it. if not note where the problem is

        Thanks Yyg!

Thats what it looks like, cut out IP's, but you can see the ms's.

          Thats bad right?

yeah. if you note step 21-30, that's your problem. if it's a square/POL ip then it's their problem, if it's not, then it's your connection (and if it's outside of your ISP, then you are SOL). if it's within your ISP, then you can go to them with this information (well you can try to go to them even if it's outside your ISP, but no guarantees) and tell them to fix it.

            Thanks Yyg!
