Please help! (XBox 360)

Hi, I bought FFXI today for Xbox 360. I have followed all of the instructions, and have registered to everything that it has asked. However, when I go to install the game to my 20GB hard drive, the loading screen gets to about "41 min. left", and then a window pops up, saying "Failed to write to Xbox 360 hard drive. Cancelling installation". I have tried this about 7 times, and am getting the same response. It may be possible that my 360 is corrupt, seeing as I bought it near christmas, and havn't sent it in for repairs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

could be the HDD, could also be the instal DVDs hard to tell on a game system, mmm best bet is see if your 360 came with HDD tool CDs (I dont have one so I dont know) because the PS2s HDD came with tool CDs to reformat it and reinstall basic software

Get a memory card if you already haven't got one and copy all of the data you want ot save on to it. then once you have done that try to reformat the HDD...not sure how long that will take but you cna fidn that option in the last section on the Desktop.

Once its reformated try again...if that still fails try phoning up the help line or go to www.xbox.com and post the problem in the forums to see if they can help.

if that still doens't solve it, sell your xbox and play on the pc :p

Have you checked to see how much free space you have left on your hard drive? The CD might be faulty but I don't think you can return ffxi at all. Otherwise you can try the reformating suggestion.
