CoP installation frustration
This is so bloody frustrating. I finally got my hands on a set of PC CoP install discs, so like a year after getting CoP for PS2 and having the stupid thing break I should finally be able to experience that content I paid for forever ago. EXCEPT The damn thing gets up to 98%, asks me for disc 2, and then absolutely refuses to recognize disc 2 being in the drive. It doesn't even seem to check the drive. I click ok and instantly another box pops up chirping at me to insert the disc. No flicker from the drive, nothing. Explorer sees it. I can brose the CD and copy all the files off it with no problem. I don't see any damage on the disc surface itself. The installer is just giving me the finger. I knew the installation and patching process was designed to be as harrowing as possible, but this elegant brand of torture just ...
Grr. Anyone know a way to force it to recognize the disc? Maybe a simple explanation as to why it might not be? Some way to jury-rig it to force the installation through outside of the wizard?
