  • Glitches in graphics...

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere before, but I just thought I'd point it out. No matter what drivers I install, the textures in-game seem to always have problems... I'm not sure how to explain it, but there are little white dots that flash in certain corners of walls, player models, etc. and some of the textures would occationally flash in wierd colors. At first, I thought this was an overheating problem but the temperatures on my graphics card and CPU are fine. This problem doesn't come up in any other games I play on this computer.

    My specs:

    AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.2Ghz
    Asus K8V-SE Deluxe
    1GB Corsair XMS DDR400
PNY nVidia GeForce 6800GT 256MB (ForceWare ver. 84.30)
    Samsung SyncMaster 912N LCD 19'' (1280X1024, 75Hz)
    Thermaltake X - 480Watts

...and I don't think there's anymore hardware relevant to my problem.

P.S. I've had this same problem years ago with my GeForce FX 5200 (another nVidia card) before I quit the game. I've come back with a whole new computer to find that I'm still getting flashing textures... Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you~!

i've also seen, how do i explain it. . .

Like, the polygons on players, or certain effects, become like long, jaggy tentacles.

    It's wierd to describe.

Or, if there is a summoning on a level below, i see the light on my floor.

Or a manticore's heat breath looking like jagged boxes. . .

Or polygons flickering on character models, floors, etc. . .

I think it might be the game engine just chugging.

If we don't like something, collectively, if our hatred for it throbs like an abscess beneath every thread, does that mean that they're doing something right?
