AOL and FFXI.

A friend I want to play with is having trouble with AOL and FFXi. I somewhat know how it works... I used to run AOL in the background with FFXI. However its been a long, long time since then.

I believe his problem is AOL is stopping him from either downloading the update or logging into POL, or something. Can anyone help me out?

what aol is he useing??
is he trying to use the dialup or the highspeed??


with aol9.0 there is a firewall on it and that my be stoping the updates on ffxi, but we need more info on his system

I can't provide it atm, but its probably dial-up and 9.0
