Full screen error...
Hey. have finally finished the update downloade/install... I now run the game and i get a black screen that then closes... I then re-open POL and get an error about full screen mode was something... any ideas?:confused: :confused: :confused:

are you sure you meet the min requirements? did you remember to configure your firewall/router?
anytime to change focus out of the game screen (e.g. Alt-TAB out) the game will close and complain about full screen mode lost.

I get an error similar to this whenever I have another window, like an instant message, try to take focus when I'm in FFXI or when it's loading. Make sure you don't have any programs that create new windows or pop-up notifications running at the same time as FFXI.Comment

Hmm... All I had running was this site and POL viewer... And i meet all reqs. as it has run on my computer before... Reckon I should reinstall? And sorry for newbie like questions, but what do ya mean firewall/router thingies..?

It won't...? If it has anything to do with the internet, then I just use an ethernet card and feed of the main computer in the house... No idea what that's set to...
