I reently bought ffxi and I've registered, but I need to download the updates for ffxi. i live in an area that broadband is unavailable (i've tried to get it but can't), and i've got a lot of update to get. the firt lot of like 10,200 files takes about half an hour, while the next lot takes about 8 hours, I'm not sure if there is any more after that, but I can't spend that much time on the internet (i only have 1 phone line), unless i can go on at night. So last night I conencted to the internet and started downlaoding the updates it got to about midnight and i decidd to go to sleep, leaving the computer on to update. when i woke up this morning i found out that somehow my connection had been interrupted!
Does anyone know how I could ge the updates without spending 8.5 or more hours standing over my computer hoping the internet won't disconnect? (could I e-mail SquareEnix and ask if they can send the updates on a CD?, or something like that) Or I'll have to sell FFXI, lose 50 bucks, and buy WoW despite having waited 2/3 years for this game to come out and for my comp to be good enough to play it.
