Monitor Death

Hopefully someone may have had this problem before and was able to resolve it, but here it is.

I just finally decided to start playing again, and finished the HOURS of updates. I can get into the game fine and everything, and I get to the Character Creation section and start to customize. However, the three times I've tried it so far, the screen freezes, then my monitor does into the power saving mode. I'm guessing its a video card problem or something? But I'm running a better video card then when I used to play. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hrm, I tried setting my desktop and in game res sizes the same, and so far it works, haven't gotten in the actual game yet.

I'm still having this problem in-game now, I'll be walking along and every so often I'll freeze and have to reboot. Any suggestions would be great.

a little more info would help , like what video card you have anyways from what i can see your video card is eaither overheating or your Power Supply is having some problems handling your video card.

Radeon 9200. Um, I'm hoping it's not overheating. It's brand new, and when I used to play I was using a 9000 so I dunno.

Are you using a PS2 to USB converter? If so, then turn off the vibration/dual shock function, that freezes the game when I tried it.

That's what I'm talking about...Using the PS2 to USB controller converter on your PC version. It allows you to use the PS2 controller on PC. Well, since you obviously don't have it since you didn't know what I was talknig about ( ); I'm not sure what your problem is.
