Recent Final Fantasy XI Update

Uh, I can't download that latest update, I continuously get the same error.

Error Code: POL-1154

Problems with the HDD data were
detected. Version Update failed.

I play on PC and I checked all my files for PlayOnline Viewer, and Final Fantasy XI, no errors found in either. No firewall, anti-virus software is always disabled. There shouldn't be anything that would interfere with the updates.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or have a solution? Any help at all would be much appreciated. :D

Haha, I should of guessed. It was my piece of sh!t ISP. Un-installed / re-installed the bundled software and it worked fine.

To anyone else using AOL, save yourself future problems and switch to a reliable ISP. What was I thinking going with these... :\

Errr i just tried to log into ffxi after a week away and when trying to update im getting this error too.

Only thing is, im not with aol, im actually trying to update it from my cousins house, we are running on a home network through a 512k dsl connection. He updated his a few days earlier when i wasnt here and he said things went fine for him. So im wondering why im getting this error? I checked my pol and ffxi files and nothing wrong with them. My anti-virus is shutdown and firewall is disabled.

Anyone know if my network connection could be causing this? If so, how would i go about fixing it? If im not connected to the network, then i have no internet, so i can disable the network connection. Im off home later today, so im hoping it works then. Any ideas though?

I'm not having this problem but I do have that POL-008 or POL-0011... It's impossible for me to download the 71.dat file since it's so big and I'll always have to start from the beginning if I get the "Network is busy" stuff... I've gotten 2 out of 9 files in 9 hours by just trying and trying >.<

I have updated alot of stuff concenring my connection and some other stuff... And still, it seems the same. This didn't happen before though.

Meh no one ever helps here. In any event i disabled file sharing on the home network and it worked fine. Just in case anyone else has this trouble.
