How many hours do you play per day?

I play about 4~5 hours a day. Two before work and two after work.....give or take an hour depending on when I wake up/sleep. I would play more on weekends, but I learned with EQ that if you let these games get a hold of you, you will damage friendships So now I make sure online games take the lowest place on my list of "things to do" so I won't pass up social activities for them.

I lost a few friends and lost my job cause I was trying to play EQ for 12 hours a day while working full time Luckily I now have a better job than before and I won't let anything endanger this one :D

12+ on weekends, varies between 6-10 on weekdays. A lot of it is spent seeking and chatting, so the actual hours that I'm actively playing (i.e. levelling, questing, etc) are a little less. I get rl work done while seeking heh, just shift the keyboard over and voila! Space for all that paperwork. Switch to chat log and go get stuff done, all you need is an occasional glance for a /tell asking you to party.

I use to play around 4 hours a day...... But my better half decided that it would be best for me to only play 3 days a week.

So now i play 6 hours on Tues. and Thurs. after work. But i get to play for around 12 to 16 hours on Sunday

I figure I still get around the same amount of play time in and I don't have to listen to any complaining while I do play .

SSHHHH but i still sneak on every morning before work for about 1/2 hour to update my AH status. wOOt

Really, I'd play even more if I didn't have school. Most other things are just so damn boring compared to gaming that I don't even bother doing them unless I'm going somewhere or I absolutely have to (Like going outside. Am I supposed to throw sticks or something to have fun outside?).

Still, people have actually died for playing 35h+ straight. I don't understand how anyone is capable of doing that, and even if they were, why they would want to do that.

O yes the rousing fun of tossing sticks. :/ I play every second i possibly can. Which with work,GF and helping around the house it isnt as much as id like, I end up going to bed a 3 and 4 on school nights. .. Going outside is something that dissappered.. Who wants to go outside nemore, Ppl jus go outside and are like "God wtf " then they go in a club bar house Etc. I feel you nameless, The phone line crap sucks, I live so far out in the country i cant get DSL or cable. And i cant afford satellite. ^^ im moving out soon. Into the human world where i can get cable internet. Then there will be no stopping me mwa ha hahahahah ahhah.

2-4 hours, leaning more towards 3 hours. My goal before I reach level 18 is to at least level up once every time I play. It doesn't happen every time, but I try pretty hard.

I luv this game and think about it 24/7, planing what I will do once I log-in. At the office (with my 2 monitor set-up ) I would have FFXIonline on one screen and my projects on the other.

When I was freelancing full-time I use to play 12+ hrs after a project was completed. Now with a full-time job, wife, son and freelance work I can only squeeze in 4+ and maybe only 3-4 days week (the days my wife is working...she is my project manager...:confused: then after I log-oof I would have to come up with an accuse of why I didn't do my freelance projects).

Well, I finished university just before the game came out thank god and I only have crappy part-time jobs. I work long hours on the weekend, but durning the week I only work a few hours each day so I play in the morning for 2 hours, go to work, then play for 7 more hours and go to bed at 2am usually.

I am engaged, my fiance is starting to hate the game and we don't live together yet. When I move in she going to be at how much I play. I'm sure she'll make me cut back to a more reasonable 4-5 hours a hour. :sweat:

The stupid part is my main job has always been thief, but even with all that play time (70+ days) I still am not past level 50 yet because no one wants thieves in their parties. I've farmed for weeks on end with no invites, so my gear is now insanely good but that doesn't help the reputation of my job for getting invites. I've pretty much resigned myself to the idea that SE only wants thieves to exist for making money for the "real" jobs of FFXI.

I've been putting in a lot of time. Playing kinda hardcore (for lack of a better term)

I work until 8:45pm, spend a bit of time with the wife, then start playing usually between 10:30 and 11:00

I play at least until 2:00am, but usually between 3:00-3:30

This comes out to about 4-5 hours per weeknight. On weekends I put in huge amounts of time too, anywhere from 12-15 hours on sat and sun.

I think my game timer is around 7.5 days which is about 180 hours. I've had the game since March 25, so lets say 3 weeks. 180 hours/21 days = 8.5 hours per day average.

HOWEVER, I played extreme the first 10 days, which is still throwing off the results. In a typical week now, I would average about 40 hours which is less than 6 per day.

Still, this is my main obsession for a while
