If I was to live in Fei'Yin I'd probably just go the extra km and set shop at Castle Zvahl. Maybe a magic shop, or even an Optometrist shop with all the "free" lenses available over there. But considering my cabin is no more I'd probably move to (Sea).

Well, I don't think Dynamis would be livable, like uhh Firewind said Eldrich and such, but only Beastmen wise I guess. Mount Zhoalym sounds like a good spot to have a vacation if you want some heat. Then again I prefer a more tropical climate, so I'd still stick to Yuhtunga.

I'm playing Resident Evil 6 at the moment so I won't burn out on XI. Also Yyg don't deny my love. Don't do it.

I think I'd try my luck in White Gate, but I would stay as far away from Naja Salaheem as possible. I'd probably see if the Galka who runs the Automaton store would take me up as an apprentice. Speaking of that I need to start the quest for my last 2 heads. Anyone know if it's true that if you give him a +1 Coffee it cuts the timer down?

Probably the 2 coolest moments in FFXI, getting access to Sea and running through it for the first time, followed closely by getting access to the Sky teleport from the crag, and doing that for the first time. FUCK all that runnning!

Sky was more impressive for me. I think it was the floor that did it, and the teleport beam from Hall of the Gods certainly didn't hurt.

I was underwhelmed with Sky. First off, getting there without the teleport took a century, you always had to wait for at least twenty people before you could do anything - and then somehow after you were sitting there on a job for over an hour, you'd be the one sent back to change jobs and run all the fucking way back, instead of intercepting someone before they got there.

Then all of the NMs up there were just boring, everything magic aggros, and Byakko and Kirin don't put out.

Hall of the Gods was amazing and reverent, and it seemed like it was building up to something and then you port up and it's just ... mossy crags. Meh.

Fuck sky. Hell, I didn't even really like the music up there.



Sea, I loved, and I was much more impressed with. System was just as shitty and so were drop rates, but the pretty zone and pretty music made up for it. Plus who couldn't love the dolphins that followed you around like lost puppy dogs?
