Anybody have some idea what level this thing is? (It's for the Blighted Gloom quest for the Adventuring Fellow. Wiki doesn't list a level.) Or any anecdotes about soloing it before you were 75?

I'm guessing it can't be too far over 40. At WAR39/DNC19, with a level 33 attacker NPC, I think I knocked off between a quarter and a third of its HP before the war of attrition ended and I died.

I was able to take it out with no problems as a level 50 Thf/Nin (no use of status bolts) with a Lv. 32 healer NPC back when the NPC quests initially came out. I haven't done it more than the one time. ~40ish range would feel about right for this NM.
