I keep popping on to Somepage to see if they've got the new stuff up because I love(d?) the searching options and recipe lists, but the site appears to be without maintenance... There hasn't been an update since Pankration. Is the site a ghost? Anyone know who maintains it?

I dunno, but it's been like that for a long time. It's a shame too. That site has absolutely the best searchable equipment database. -

Somepage was a very nice site for finding all sorts of info (not to mention the easy to read compiled .dat mines after updates)
What the hell happened? The owners just quit FFXI and/or forget about it altogether?Comment

Somepage has always been behind on info compared to the others
since I started in may 06, It did however have a good search function in regards to armour and weapons etc
The wiki by far is the best source of info with this place a close second in my eyes.
The combined knowledge of our comunity is great and all advice usually comes with some personal touch or insult, lol you cant beat that

I love that database, saved me so much time but ffxiah does have one too and all the items have a direct link to the wiki page on and price history if it's sellable which is nice. Been slowly switching over to ffxiah for gear research.Originally posted by Pteryx View Post

Sucks how it's not updated anymore. Speaking of dead XI sites, it seems Spielman's Moghouse is officially dead. The site isn't even active anymore. Such a shame since that was a good site for upcoming RNGs.

I still use somepage. Somepage mentioned the searchable equipment database, and that's one of the things I use there. I also prefer the layout of somepage for listing mobs in a particular zone. Somepage sorts them by level, which is what I prefer.Lyonheart
