Yes. Mostly because if you are just starting, the expansions are going to do very little for you. Especially Wings and ToAU.

Well it took around two hours to register my Play Online account, figure out the gamertag debacle, and now I'm trying to activate my damn expanion packs, and it's taking forever. Should I just try and play the base game?!

I mean... 23... 24... 25... 26... What the hell, 27. That's on a Tuesday.

Overnight shipping doesn't mean you'll get it the next day or even the day after. Overnight is from when the shipping company processes it to you and not from when you order from the website to you. There will usually be 3-4 days of in house management before its even packed up and ready for shipping. (Some websites actually have an option to expedite your order but of course it costs $$.) Order comes in, forwarded to the correct deptarment, payment is processed and approved, order then forwarded to the warehouse, sits in queue, order is pulled and sent to shipping, shipping boxes and tags, and last but not least its loaded unto a truck and taken down to UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc. Then at the shipping company they have to unload the truck and scan each package and invoice everything and then finally its assigned a time for delivery. The biggest thing to realize is that they get thousands of orders a day and they process and ship them as a whole which also delays your order. Then at the shipping company they have a buttload of trucks coming in that have to be scanned and tagged. All in all, pre-ordering it close to home is the safest bet to get it ASAP. While I LOVE my internet shopping the one thing I learned is to never expect the package when you want it. (And with this one we have to factor in the incompetence of SE and delaying shipping of the discs in the first place. )

ha... nono my bad, I also missed a message, aparently they did takeit down, but it was only for an hour or two, to fix something, then it was back up

SE never said the servers where down, other people started saying that, there is not one SE announcement that said it was down. They said things like "due to server congestion" and "hardware difficulties due to congestion" but they never said the servers were down.
