on a bright note i sold my fuma sune-ate when i arrived on kujata for 300k more then i got them for, then i picked up a pair just before the update for 150k, sold them again for 500k iWin.Comment

That's nothing, the Berserker's Axe went from less then 200k to 600k in less then a week and the Rune Chopper went from 30k to 800k practically over night. If you want to cash in on this, Rune Chopper isn't terribly hard to obtain. I did the Strange Apparatus mini-quest a while ago to get my 2nd Rune Axe. I ended up with enough Cermet Chunks and Arcane Flowerpots to more than make up for the cost of the colored chips and infinity cores.Lyonheart

I hope my merit party isn't a sign of the "new FFXI":
A party leader sends me a /tell asking if I have "/SAM gaxe". I tell him that my SAM sub is only 14, but that my GAxe skill is capped. So he says, "ok wanna joing the party?"
When I join, it's me (WAR/NIN) plus DRK/SAM (the leader), SAM/WAR, PUP/something and a WHM. The last slot gets filled by... a SAM/WAR. And THEN he's like "Lyon, do you mind being first voke? I kinda forgot to get a tank lol." So the SAM sub was a non-issue.
Unfortunately, with the lack of damage mitigation and only one healer, we get a lot of party members getting on shotted by Mamool Jas and the occasional Skoffin.
It's like everyone is so mesmerized by big numbers that they forget how to put a proper party together.Lyonheart

I think 2 handed weapon users will be in higher demand for DDing. Considering their jobs were made for the sole purpose of DDing, I don't think there is a problem here.
If a shitty DRG can beat out a good WAR now then something is wrong with the WAR. Maybe the WAR is actually pretty shitty and should switch over ot a Gaxe (Or did the war's forget that they could use those since they have been told all their life to dual weild?)
And of course I also forsee more bitching about 2 handed jobs being overpowered in dealing damage now because suddenly jobs they can out DD other jobs that were probally beating their ass before in a parse.
I also forsee more changes to two handed weapons coming in order to tweek the damage up or down in different cases.
Just my thoughts on the change.Comment
