I don't think there's a need to be so judgemental, and that goes for everyone. What do you care if someone completely unrelated to you torrents a game, especially one that they did go out of their way to pay for, and isn't just getting a fake key generated?

I know this has been beat to death but for the love of god, just let the issue die. Torrent or not, she's already joined up on Hades, and as a person from this community I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt. I'm not saying I agree that torrent downloading is right, necessarily, though there are far worse evils out there.

At any rate, it's not my style to pick apart every little thing someone does and then discredit them forever because of it. If she's having fun playing and it doesn't bother you then I wouldn't worry about it.

And if you all really want to be asses about the whole thing, maybe you should just be glad she's not on your server, if she's really the most evil thing to ever play FFXI. :/

Good lord, it was bad enough we jumped up her ass in the other thread, now everyone wants to do it in this one. I know this post isn't helping any, but just let it die. I already doubt she'll be back to this forum anyway.

Is the same guy from the DVD rom discussion? If he is then I think he downloaded the game using the codes that come with the DVD because the Torrent didn't work.

Either that or my memory is as bad as my english skill.

Ak, they said very clearly that they torrented a lot of games. Generally, people that buy games don't download them illegally.

*shrug* She says she torrents other games. Most annoying is that she has selective memory. I repeatedly gave her a safe solution to do what she wanted (i.e. not buy a DVD drive), but she went and insult all of us with:

Its clear to me what the FF11 community is like. And this is why the drive would be a waste: Im not going to play this game, not with this type of community. And you all should be ashamed that you have defined FF11 players as you have.

I respect you, Aksannyi, and agree some people could've been nicer to her, but I don't find her to be a laudable addition to the community. =/ (Heck, to start with, she owes ME and others an apology for that broad comment, and possibly some game companies a few bucks.)

I think torrenting sucks, too, but there are a lot of people out there who do it, more than you think. People download music, movies, expensive programs (half the internet has Photoshop but most didn't pay for it), at this point, WHILE I AGREE IT'S WRONG, I just think it's best to let this issue die.

She is playing, she joined Hades and sent me a /tell either yesterday or the day before. I guess she decided to give it a shot anyway. Started out as a White Mage from Windy, IIRC.

So she decides to tell us we're all terrible people, but opted to play anyway. Super. :D

I torrent everything: movies, CDs, and games. I haven't spent money on either of the three in the last 3 years with an exception to 2 or 3 PS2 games, 2 or 3 DS games, and FFXI expansions.

Never been hacked.
