From my understanding of the TPbonus effect on it, is that when you do a WS it does it as though you did it with a 100 more TP. I like this bonus on staff for things like spirt taker that are TP dependent.
The thing you would want to consider is what WS you use the most, and whats the modifer for it? Will doing it for 200% tp (100% +TP bonus) is it going to increase damage significantly or is the tp modifier just accuracy or some such effect like that.
Glancing over some Drg TP skills: Impule drive has a 2.5 modifer for 300% TP, so doing you WS at 200% with this may increase damage a bit. Wheeling thrust will ignore more defense. I suppose it would take some testing to see how much of an increase it does.
That all being said, I do know that drgs in my dynamis groups typically use this with wheeling thrust to hit a bit harder on the NMs in dynamis. It isn't the only polearm I see them use, but it is used from time to time. They look fairly inexpense, so wouldn't hurt to pick one up and see how it performs for your setup.
To sum it up, you are losing up to 1-5 points of weapon DMG on melee swings, jumps and weapon skills just to up the tp effect on weapon skills only. Grant it, the extra 100 tp from the bonus will increase the ws damage. If your main job is to close a skillchain just for mb and the rest of your damage doesn't matter, then its a good lance.
I have done Royal Jelly BCNM about 45 times. At first I used an Obelisk Lance+1 then one day I was in a hurry and didn't want to mule and bought a Behourd Lance. There is a 2 point DMG difference in favor of the Behourd between the two. After I noticed the higher numbers on the jellies, I got rid of my Obelisk lance and still have the Behourd.
