If it *is* around the time of the Crystal War, maybe we can go back to the small fishing village of Jeuno and tell Maat that if he sees two guys in the water that look like they're drowning, for the love of Altana, let them drown.

It will be 10 years too late, as Jeuno would have already become a super-power and the boys would be leading it.

I hope we get to see them as "good guys"...

Kam and Eald have so much potential, but SE doesn't use it ;/.

It is not very funny when a war/pld ends up in your level 38 exp party due to not enough players LFG that level range during peak hours... (sword and shield, no food, and uses high breath mantle while fill-in the DD role... sigh)

I am of a mind to say unlikely. If you read the Vana'diel Tribune you will see that the force Volker lead was the Hydra Corps, read a little more and you see what happens to them.

Can you tell me the names of everyone present at the final, personal battle against the Shadow Lord? Because, that would be cool to know.

If you get your information about the game's storyline from a website, then you probably shouldn't be telling anyone else how it works.

Do you know how far I am into CoP? Missions? Zilart? No you do not.

There is one line in the first few original batches of info NA players got that mentions a team of heroes from multiple nations "lead by Volker", that defeated the Shadow Lord. You aren't exactly told who is on this team, but the fact it wasn't all Bastokian kind of leaves the possibility open.

Also, I do believe that the heros of the nations that defeated the Shadow Lord were all named.

It'll be interesting to see how they tie it in with the storyline. Because nothing is really resolved with Uran-Mafran in the summoner AF storyline, nor the person he is trying to revive, and I'd think that they could do something with Karaha-Baruha if they wanted to.

Um... you're not Windurst Rank 10, are you? Believe me, they do plenty with Karaha-Baruha already. (Although I have to admit, I haven't played through the smn af storyline, so I don't know how it ties in. Anyone a SMN60+ *and* windurst rank 10, that can shed some light on this hopefully without excessive spoilers?)

We don't know yet what time period we're talking about here, but I think it's a good deal older than the Crystal War; the Sauromugue monument (dated 770 CE) refers to the destruction of a San d'Orian castle in Sauromugue (i.e. Garlaige Citadel) as history, placing it well over 50 years before the Crystal War (Tzee Xicu wasn't hatched until 827 CE) and possibly much longer; yet it's clearly visible, intact, in the trailer. Unless you want to posit that it was destroyed, rebuilt and then destroyed again, or that the walls of San d'Orian architecture in a terrain that looks exactly like Sauromugue's are actually something else. Or unless SE wants to retcon that, I guess, but I really doubt that.

The Brady Guide isn't all that bad, I do use it just to see when I might get a new WS or if there are any new spells for the job I'm leveling. Since I don't use windower, that's the only way I can look things up in-game.

Yeah, it's mostly suXorz, but it's better than logging out to ffxiclopedia it.

Maybe S/E will put the new windowed mode with the new expansion. :D (PLEASE?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!) /beg

I lost my chocobo racing almanac in the 1950's and Biff used it to make billions of gil here in the present. I've got a plan to fix it all though; I'm going to go back and leave a Brady guide in place of the almanac.
