I lost my chocobo racing almanac in the 1950's and Biff used it to make billions of gil here in the present. I've got a plan to fix it all though; I'm going to go back and leave a Brady guide in place of the almanac.

Wow, sorry to necro such an ancient post, but I finally finished all my WotG missions. What a great expansion this was!

Who said time travel was going to be stupid?

There aren't any other characters named Aksannyi, either. I made this name up, though, so to find someone else who has the same name ... well I should ditch my husband and marry that guy cause he's my soul mate. LAWL.

Yet only one Omgwtfbbqkitten across all servers.

    I feel special

No, don't make a mule on your server, I had to kill the others to become the only one (again).

Only way I'd accept a Sephiroth in FFXI is if FF heros and villans could be challenged in BCNMs, which don't really have a story and don't make much sense anyway.

    The official history states that:

Yagudo were trashed by the actual Avatar Fenrir when they attacked Windurst.

A large Orc/Gigas army went to Tavnazia when SandO'ria gave them info regarding a superweapon hidden there. After seeing his homeland destroyed, someone, I forget his name, draws LightBringer in anger, winds up destroying the land bridge connecting Tavnazia to the mainland, and a HUGE portion of the Shadow Lord's army is destroyed in the blast, while the survivors are cut off from the main action.

Hydra Corps and main demon army get sent to Dynamis

I can't remember what happened with the Quadavs

Gigas primarily siege Jeuno, but are defeated.

And as I recall the Shadow Lord is defeated by Zied. Once he was defeated his demons disappeared and the rest of the beastmen more or less disbanded.

    See this website for details:

Spoilers much? (I know all of this already but for those who don't....)

    *W A R N I N G *

    - The crystal warriors have been in slumber since the fall of Al'tieu, and are only awakened by Kam'lanaut and Eald'narche *after* you defeat the Shadow Lord in 5-2. Had they been around during the war they would have kicked all kinds of ass, but the Shadow Lord was interfering with their revival if I remember correctly.

I forget the exact reasoning but Kam'lanaut says that the Shadow Lords' power was interfering with their plans somehow. It's been a while since I saw that CS.

If you get your information about the game's storyline from a website, then you probably shouldn't be telling anyone else how it works.

There is one line in the first few original batches of info NA players got that mentions a team of heroes from multiple nations "lead by Volker", that defeated the Shadow Lord. You aren't exactly told who is on this team, but the fact it wasn't all Bastokian kind of leaves the possibility open.

Ah yes, you're right. I forgot about them. I was referring to those who helped defeat the shadow lord. My view still stands, though, that even though we know the "official" reasons groups won/were defeated, that we will be doing behind the scenes, on the down low type dealies.

We won the Crystal War miraculously, and I'd bet you 200gil that the reason was that we went back in time and helped the Crystal warriors.

As far as the whole time travel bit, I'm not ruling it out, but I am a wee bit doubtful. It just doesn't seem like it would fit in. I could see if we had to go on quests and investigate old ruins to get cutscenes of what happened.

That being said, the orcs in that screenshot of what looks like Davoi look like normal mobs and not cutscene mobs, and from what I have seen it just doesn't look like a normal cutscene.

It'll be interesting to see how they tie it in with the storyline. Because nothing is really resolved with Uran-Mafran in the summoner AF storyline, nor the person he is trying to revive, and I'd think that they could do something with Karaha-Baruha if they wanted to.
