Basically, the company that bought Alla and also happened to own IGE has sold IGE (something about it becoming less profitable recently).


So now, no one can argue that there is a connection (no matter how indirect) between Alla and rmt.

The fact that Allakhazam was willing to allow itself to be part of the same conglomerate that ran IGE is enough to make sure that I never use their site again.

I don't see the necessity of this topic. So the company that owns Alla no longer owns IGE.

Its not exactly going to win people back to Alla in any event, nor does it change the fact that Feba amoung countless other users were in the right to be upset with Alla being associated with IGE in the first place.

Allakazham has been a long-standing MMORPG resource and if there is one thing legitimate MMORPG players loathe, its RMT and the people that buy from or are associated with them. They're going to have to do a lot to win users back.

But with the rise of wiki sites for WoW, FFXI and others, I don't think there's much of a need for Alla now that community information can be much more user-driven.

I agree this topic is indeed unnecessary, but that's my personal opinion.

Whatever Alla is or was doesn't matter because to me they will always be the sold-out site that I stopped using such a long time ago.

And trying to come here and say Alla isn't linked to RMT anymore is as useless as the site is to me now.



Also, this topic's tittle and tone is yet another example of why I wouldn't use Alla anyway, there are much better choices (like this site) without all the flaming and stupidity.

I don't consider Feba to be stupid. Hell, without all the drama on Alla about the IGE thing in the first place, I never would have found this place to make my (much better) home for all things FFXI related. There are so many fucktards on Alla.
