Question on elemental WS

I was wondering, is it possible to get a magic burst type of effect if you use an elemental WS at the right time during a SC?

It's something that just crossed my mind today, I don't think I've heard anything about it being possible or impossible.

Nope, you can't. Magic Only! Even Blue Magic spells can't both Chain and Burst, it's one or the other.

I've tried it, no go. However, you do get the bonus/penalties from Elemental Staves, which is pretty sad and funny (lol Earth Crusher with Earth Staff.)

Huh, that's interesting. Makes me wonder what having all the +elemental WS equipment and an Imperial Nezza would do to Raiden Thrust on Lightning day.

Probably very good WS Damage, but since everyone cares about DoT and not WS damage these days...
