Dream Hat +1 Anyone worked it out?

As with the past years, I would guess the procedures are still the same for this year.

1. get max holiday fame in all 3 cities by giving out presents
2. place all 3 holiday trees in your mog house
3. wait until 0:00 JST and your moogle will say he found an item under the trees (probably have to be in your home nation for this)
4. use the item to get dream hat +1

Aren't those trees 10k a piece? Why would anyone pay that much for a hat taht dispenses ginger cookies ?

I believe you only need one tree and it doesn't matter which.

As to why someone would pay that much, if you want to be completely utilitarian about it, using the hat every day to make stacks of cookies to sell will make you a profit in a couple months. I think more people get it just for the novelty of having a santa hat that dispenses cookies, or just collect them for fun since they're only available once a year.

Really, 10k isn't that much. I probably spend close to that amount every day on outpost warps and chocobos, and could make it back in the course of an experience or merit party in crystals, salable drops, and imperial standing.

It's the only piece I wanted except for the three Lightning STG2 furnitures. Looks like I'm going to be running around Lagcity delivering presents.

The robes are pretty useless and don't even look very good imo, but they're also trivial to get and can be traded to the event storage NPC so they don't take up any space, so I got them anyway.
