Price fixing. If there isn't some rule against this kind of behavior, there ought to be. I wonder if GMs would do anything about this if someone were to report it.Lyonheart

Re: Vigilante Deflation Fighters 20X6
Good grief, he sold it and bought it back from himself 10X just so he could double the price? And that's on Ice Shield, too. That's ridiculous. 600k to 1.2mil is a bit much to handle.
{Edit} Ok, this is somewhat promising:. I guess at least we know this assclown's antics aren't screwing up anyone who's doing their research. It sure sucks for PS2/Xboxers who can't pull this stuff up, though.Originally posted by FFXI AHTransactions with the same buyer and seller are negated when calculating the max, min, average, median, and graph. Re: Vigilante Deflation Fighters 20X6
Very, I already use it to plan purchases. Gives me a good idea whether it's worth a trip to Jeuno to look for an item or not. On the flip side of that, if you're looking for lower level gear, the kind of stuff you'd be more likely to find in an AH other than Jeuno, it doesn't seem to have that information at all.

yes, it's accurate
that's cause it only polls the Jeuno AHOn the flip side of that, if you're looking for lower level gear, the kind of stuff you'd be more likely to find in an AH other than Jeuno, it doesn't seem to have that information at all.

Re: Vigilante Deflation Fighters 20X6
A lot of times, the cities AH are expensive or over priced and I usually sell my stuff there. I target guilded areas to get the maximum returns. Like the other time I had some snoll arms. Jeuno AH was selling it for like 30K a stack or something like that and I didn't have a complete stack. Went down to Windy and tossed it up at 9K EACH and sold all of it in a matter of hours. LOL ...Originally posted by Murphie View PostIt's the only AH I care about. Although I do
the cities AH's because sometimes I can get good deals on food and other low level craftables.

Re: Vigilante Deflation Fighters 20X6
The up-to-date-ness of an item seems to depend on how active buying and selling is for that item. Items which tend to sell a lot during a day gets updated more often than items that don't.
I've personally noticed times when I checked that site for Scorpion Harness, which I was selling at the time. The site didn't report any new sales, but I noticed that the number up for sale had decreased. So I logged onto FFXI, and found out that my Harnesses had sold. I'm guessing that the number in stock gets updated even if sales records for slower selling items don't get checked.Lyonheart

Re: Vigilante Deflation Fighters 20X6
I doubt he priced it at 1.2 mil when he put it up for sale, rather he put it up for 1k gil or some such thing and paid himself the 1.2 immidietly after putting it up. Doing so would cost you a few k gil, but if it sold at your inflated price you would make your money back in spades.
So yeah, an undercut, just one, would totally screw him up."I have a forebrain, my ability to abstract thoughts allow for all kinds of things" - Red Mage 8-Bit theater

Re: Vigilante Deflation Fighters 20X6
They have an Auction House comparision system similar to this on WoW on Allakahazam. I have always wondered if anyone would ever be able to create a database like this. Its definately going in my bookmarks. Its funny you can look up your name and see what you've bought. Very interesting... its nice to have an online source to see what things are going for without staggling through Jeuno lag. ^^ Btw, notice its only beta so dont expect it to be perfect yet.
