I threw out all my extra seals from the sausage quest before they made them stackable, I still don't regret it since the only job out of those I would have leveled might have been DRK, and I only got 1 of those(like 13 RNG and 7 PUP though). Since they stack now though I'll throw any "hmm maybe" seals in storage.

I did the same on the sausage quest (also before they were stackable). 8 PUP and a good 20 or so DRK (aiming for PUP).

This weekend I'm going to see just how many seals stack to on my quest to finish PUP and BRD heads.

Folks who keep driving down the price of my fish on the auctionhouse. I want my 2:1 nebimonite to moat carp ratio but no...

I try to not contribute to the problem of overstock and undercutting by only pushing my stock through very slowly when the price rebounds somewhat, but it doesn't look like it'll be making a full recovery anytime soon. Looks like it's a select few characters pushing through massive quantities too. Makes me suspicious.

I guess this is why I keep other products on hand to sell.

So will demand, so that won't really fix the problem unless the right people jump ship. Might as well go back to fishing Moat Carp while I wait for the market to stabilize.

So SE made Abyssea chest items able to be moved to the treasure pool, right? Well, with one exception. Chests with augmented items (Wivre Hairpins, Dark Rings, etc.) can't be done this way. And if you don't figure out what to do with these RARE/EX items in the 2 1/2 minutes before the chest depops (while everyone is busy trying to keep those mobs pipelined), they're gone.

I mean, seriously, SE, WTF? Give me even one good reason why these items should be treated differently? The best thing I can think of is the NPC sale price of Dark Rings, and they're rare/ex.


Also, a slight peeve on doing an Abyssea alliance on Pachypodiums. They seem okay until your exp caps out at 300-330 a kill because they don't give ruby lights. WS kills on them are apparentl completely pointless, you might as well just go for more chests (pearlescent?) and hope for an ebon in there somewhere.

People from the original alliance (including me) started to get tired and drop out of the alliance at about 8 hours. I was still only halfway into 85, and I had started halfway into 82. No way did I want to sit around for 120k more xp at the rate we were getting, with Monday morning work looming, and I still needed to do laundry and eat dinner.

tl;dr: I'm not doing pachypodiums again for a 5-level xp alliance. Period. At least not until someone figures out how to reliably build ruby and gold lights on those things. They're probably okay for merits, though.

Bees...

I'm on the Magian Trial for GK that needs me to WS 800 times on Bees that yield xp. There are a few places Bees /check as EPs when you're 85 anymore.

Itrit's Cauldron ...few and far between at least I couldn't find any major pockets of them. Someone was killing the few there were probably for the coffer key.

Temple of Ugglypiggy... I know they're in there and I looked for a quite a while but found they are probably past the prelate door, so fk that.

Wajaom Woods... yes, they are out there... finally I found a place. Wait... now there's 2 other people camping my hive. One of whom doesn't seem to understand how the link system works for hives. Oh look, he pulled the whole hive. Oh look, he's lieing facedown in a pile of his own folly. I can actually sense him looking on wiki for alternate areas for bees. Okay.. the other person doesn't like these either... gonna try another place? ... good luck.

Then I get the passer-by critiqing my gear selection. I'm in a evasion set-up and using 3rd Eye/Seigan, buddy. I don't need to kill these fast. I need to dodge their accurate lil' hits that do quite a bit more damage than I'd think being 20 lvls over them. I need to get as many WSs off as possible before the depressed little thing kills itself... damn... see... final sting. Still had 1/2 HP for me to WS away too.

... bees suck.

Anyone know if they are an xp mob in Abyssea La Theine?? I've never been recruited for a alliance in La Theine yet....

I've never seen anyone xp on bees in Abyssea, probably cause a Final Sting would outright kill someone. Best bet would probably be just getting a RDM and/or BRD friend to buff you for abit while you do them in Wajaom.


Pet peeve of mine still; Mee Deggi. I go to castle last night after getting Birdbanes finally, pop him quick, go to Quu Domi for shits and giggles since noone is camping him, he drops the feet(so I'm like 1/3 or 1/4 on him, while still 0/40+ on Mee Deggi)then I go back once Mee Deggi's window opens. 3 hours after his window opens he finally pops, longest it's ever taken me to pop him. And of course no drop. Once he drops it I might cry irl out of joy.

In Wajaom Woods if you go to the southern area you’ll find 2 hives mixed in with 4 Puks. I have done many puk trials there and not once have I seen anyone killing those bees. Actually I think theirs 3 hives in the vicinity. Might be worth checking into. Plenty of safe areas to pull them too as well.

If you can find a duo or maybe trio group, Abyssea La Thiene might be a great option (if you have the stone/time). There have been a few times where me and another Bst aggroed one by accident. The few bees we fought would spam pollen more than anything, which I’d assume you want seeing as you need WS and not kills. This was also during the 80 cap and I don’t think we were both 80 yet.

I’ve xped of them once. It was one of my better abyssea parties. I think a lot of people don’t like their moves though. Pollen slows down kill speed and I don’t think they use final sting as often to even it out. And if they do use Final Sting, I don’t think it gives lights. It’s been a while so this is all off memory.

Yeah... Wajaom Woods is where it's at. I just couldn't bring myself to ask someone to come only to buff me for a lil while when doing this Trial. There's really nothing in it for them. At 25xp/mob there really isn't much to gain for anyone else. I also am okay with survival, I'm just tired of Final Sting.

I think a lot of people don’t like their moves though. Pollen slows down kill speed and I don’t think they use final sting as often to even it out. And if they do use Final Sting, I don’t think it gives lights.

Bees freak me out enough IRL. The idea of fighting bees as big as my torso on purpose for any period of time is a bit daunting. Good luck with it, though!

My current annoyance is the drop rate (or lack of drop rate) of Phalanx in the Royal Jelly BCNM, and the obscenely high price of the scroll (which shot up in price once PLDs became able to learn the spell). We did 8 runs of Royal Jelly the other night & didn't have a single scroll of Phalanx drop. We got a few Erase scrolls, which would have been lovely a few years ago when it was selling for 500k. Now it's 3k. Lovely if you're buying it, but depressing if you're selling it (especially if you paid 480k-500k or more back in the day). On the plus side, Refresh used to go for about 5k, but is currently selling for 28-30k & we got a few of those. No Utsusemi: Ni scrolls dropped -- but nobody in the party was looking for those (other than to sell).

I think it's telling that I've made a commitment to getting the 2-3x OAT weapons for RDM and BST when I'm online now.
